The history of Georgian wine is a captivating tale that intertwines ancient traditions with modern innovations, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and enduring passion for winemaking that has defined the country for centuries.
Ancient Roots: The Beginnings of Georgian Winemaking
The story of Georgian wine begins in ancient times, where winemaking was not just a craft but a sacred ritual deeply embedded in the fabric of Georgian society. Archaeological evidence suggests that winemaking in Georgia dates back over 8,000 years, with the discovery of clay vessels known as qvevris, used for fermentation and storage of wine, found in archaeological sites across the country. These ancient winemaking techniques, still employed today, highlight the enduring legacy of Georgia's winemaking tradition.
Geoska at the Georgia-Azerbaijan business forum dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev
On June 2, 2023, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of Azerbaijan, the businessmen of Azerbaijan and Georgia gathered to discuss ways to expand economic cooperation between the two countries. This seminar, which was held from 14:00 to 19:00 at the Biltmore Hotel in Tbilisi, started with a wide welcome from economic activists and economic managers of the two countries. As an active member of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and one of the few Georgian wine producers, Geoska Company was also present at this seminar. At the beginning of this seminar, Mr. Levan Davitashvili (vice prime minister of the economy and sustainable development of Georgia) gave a speech in connection with the role of Georgia in the regional economy and the support of the government to investors. He invited all investors to invest in various economic sectors. After that, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan gave a speech. Mr. Giorgi Jabarev said that Azerbaijan has again planned to increase economic growth after the COVID epidemic. He said that due to Azerbaijan's location in the middle region between Europe and Asia, it can be an important hub for economic activities. Free trade, the government's encouraging and supportive policies, and easing investment barriers are among the most important measures the government has taken to support foreign investment. Mr. Jabarev invited Georgian investors to invest in various fields such as energy, transportation, tourism, agriculture, and production in Azerbaijan. Mr. Giorgi Pertaia, president of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was the other speaker at this conference. While thanking the professional executive team of the Chamber of Commerce of Azerbaijan for helping to implement this conference, he announced the readiness of himself and his team of colleagues to support the investors of the two countries and said that it is appropriate for the investors of the two countries to choose the best options for expanding mutual cooperation by examining and studying the available opportunities.
In the second part of the seminar, agreements on expanding economic cooperation were signed between government officials of the two countries, and journalists and photographers prepared a report on the ceremony.
The continuation of the seminar continued with the introduction of investment opportunities in Georgia, which was carried out by Georgia Enterprise. After that, Soltan Mammadov from the Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce introduced the investors to the investment opportunities in Azerbaijan and thoroughly explained the advantages and opportunities. The final part of the seminar was dedicated to the joint meetings between the businessmen of the two countries, which was an opportunity for the investors to get to know each other in the various fields that had been introduced in advance. All in all, this seminar was very valuable, and it was an opportunity for us in the Geoska team to get to know Azerbaijan and plan the future plans of the Cheoska company to reach global markets. On April 7, 2023, Tbilisi Metasminda Park hosted Tbilisi companies and visitors. In this event, which was held in the central square of the park, Geoska wine was also present. By serving wine to the guests, Geoska was with the customers who came to participate in this event. In this celebration, the Geoska company designed a campaign in which visitors could participate in the lottery of two bottles of Geoska wine by registering their names on the company's website, and more than 100 people participated in this campaign.
Geoska in Georgia-Armenia: active business dialogue seminar
On April 7, Geoska was invited by the Georgian Enterprise Association to a business seminar between Georgian businessmen and Armenia. At the Sheraton Hotel, Georgian and Armenian companies met to find ways to expand their businesses and discuss new business opportunities. More than a hundred Armenian companies participated in this seminar, which was held at the Sheraton Tbilisi Hotel. At the beginning of the seminar, Mr. Levan Davitashvili, "vice prime minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia", welcomed the audience in his opening speech and said that the Georgian government was trying to provide new opportunities for businessmen. After that, Mr. Genel Sanosian, "Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia," gave a speech, and while thanking the Georgian enterprise for hosting, he invited businessmen to come to this country and take advantage of new investment opportunities. In the other part of this seminar, Georgian Enterprise presented the investment opportunities in Georgia; after that, the investment opportunities in Armenia were introduced to the audience, and at the end, the ways of trade and transportation were discussed. And the relevant laws and regulations were explained by the republic's Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the final part of this valuable seminar, the Armenian guest companies also signed pre-contracts with Georgian businessmen in joint private meetings while explaining their businesses.
In a summary of this specialized seminar, the active businessmen of the two countries were introduced to each other. Explaining the opportunities facing the two countries provided a clearer vision for the expansion of trade between the two countries. As one of the active companies in the field of wine production in Georgia, Geoska Company had a private meeting with the representative of the Armenian Enterprise Organization, and it was decided to benefit from the assistance of this organization in the export of Georgian wine to Armenia. We also talked about the production of wine in Armenia. As we know, Armenia is the world's best producer of pomegranate wine, and Geoska would like to add a new product to its wine portfolio. The product will be produced in Armenia under the Geoska brand and exported all over the world. IWA winners
On the first Saturday of December 2022, we participated in the international association women's festival and did a lucky draw campaign for our visitors. Geoska wine selected five winners based on lucky draw and the winners got the prizes in this event.

Red & wine is a cozy and fantastic wine bar in the heart of Tbilisi. this bar is located very close to Radisson blue hotel. Red & wine is very well-known in events and travelers know it very well. they have 2 or 3 events in the week. . Geoska wine was there on 14th of the December 2022 for a wine Tasting event. Many tourists from around the world came to this event and talked with us about our Geoska wine. they liked Geoska wines specially Mukuzani and Tsinandali models. we had a great meeting with our customers and got feedback. thank you, Alexander and Regina (owners of the Red and wine) for helping us.

or the International Women Association is one of the important NGOs active in Georgia. this association helps women and runs a lot of projects about women's rights. as is tradition, on the first Saturday of December, they arranged a big festival in Tbilisi. At this festival, a lot of people was attending for supporting the IWA. also Geoska wine as a Georgian producer Participated in this fair very active. we believe it is our social responsibility and our social duty that support IWA and other charities. we was on the 3rd of December at Sheraton Grand Hotel and invited all of our customers to this event. it was not a sales campaign this was a social support campaign. we are standing beside the Best things. thank you to the IWA for accepting Geoska wine at this event. also in this event we runed a lucky draw campaign and we selected 5 winners from our visitors. you can find our lucky winners in top.

Second lucky draw in wine garage
Geoska wine company and Wine Garage cooperated on 25th November for a lucky draw campaign. this event did in the wine garage from 8 pm to 12 pm. we had so many guests after a great night with our consumers in the cozy wine garage. thank you for Hanna(owner of the wine garage). around 11 pm we did a lucky draw and finally, Mr. Ivan from Russia won. Geoska in Tbilisi day
Every year, the first Saturday and Sunday of October are Tbilisi Day and all the people participate in street celebrations and honor this day. The ancient traditions of Georgia are displayed on this day, and people all over the city happily spend long hours until late at night in the streets dancing, drinking local wines, and cooking local foods and sweets. The government also attends this ceremony by setting up different stages in the corners of the city and organizing artistic programs and accompanying the people. Also, on this day, a large number of tourists come to the city and watch these traditional ceremonies. In this year's celebration, the Geoska company stood by the kind people of Tbilisi in one of the city's busiest areas by creating a free wine drinking station and welcomed travelers and visitors with various Georgian wines, local cheeses, and sweets. Behzad Bolour in Opening day
Behzad Beluor is one of the presenters and producers of the BBC network, who has made various programs about the culture, history, and traditions of different countries in recent years. The research approach of Behzad Bloor programs has made these programs different from other similar programs.
